SNOW!!!!!!!!!!

Can you believe it??? We actually are getting snow?? I flicked to the weather channel last night and tomy surprise discovered we were in a winter storm warning! YAY!!!!
We are supposed to get 5-15 cm of snow and then its supposed to turn to rain.... we shall see how much we actually DO get. Here's a picture I just took a few moments ago. SNOW!!!! MORE SNOW!!!
EDITED TO ADD: Its all gone, every last drop washed away by the rain :( COME BACK SNOW!
As for the Tweedy Aran Cardi, I'm still chugging. Yesterday I thought I'd have the back done and be started on the front..... that didn't happen so I figured I'd get it done this morning...... that didn't happen. This back is taking FOREVER!!!! I've got about 2 more inches to go before I can bind off. At this rate its gonna take forever!!! MUST STICK TO ONE PROJECT!!!

HI Kelly,

We have more snow that you have. Ha!

We'll have to get our snowpants out, huh? I'm afraid it won't last too long, though, this time.

Have fun!

Love,
Mom O

p.s. i'm not sure if you got rid of all the furry yarn that you were trying to destash, but (if you haven't already heard) there's a project to make furry hats for cancer kids going on here: http://minisoup.blogspot.com/2007/01/contest-and-childrens-hospital.html. it might be a fun way to use up some of that stash... just an idea! : )

I'm so jealous, it was actually 75 farhenheit this weekend! Makes it hard to want to knit a warm cozy sweater

I'm very jealous, I'm guessing we won't actually see much of any more of the white stuff this year. It's incredibly warm here.

Hi Twinny!

Nice looking tweed you've got there. Keep chugging on it. I know you can do it!

Your Twin,
Kelli

Ya...I wouldn't mind a little snow. The sweater is looking great. Think about how nice it'll be when it's done!

You and Mom O can keep ALL the snow you want this year. Usually I love snow, but I don't want any this year, thanks. Tweedy Aran is a nice shade of red. I like it a lot.

Yeah, we got snow today too...then it was mixed with a bit of freezing rain or something, then changed to rain. Not sure it's doing anything right now though (8:45pm). I was into the drug store last night and overheard a man talking to someone and saying we were in for about 10cm of snow. I don't think it amounted to that...unless there is more coming later tonight.

Oh no, you're in the twilight zone - you measure and measure and it's always 2" too short and then - it's 2" too long. Wha...?!

the lack of snow is crazy, isnt it? i was in boston last week and it was 10 degrees colder then at home in san francisco!!

the red tweed aran is coming along nicely.

Your sweater is looking good! I have just about finished the 'skirt' part of my coat/sweater! I think I will have enough yarn with my adjustment, but thanks for thinking of me! Sorry your snow did not stay. We are having lots of wind at the moment!

Nice progress on the cardi!

I'm not a snow bunny, but I admit it was nice to see snow coming down yesterday.
